KWIKPARTS PRODUCT WARRANTY POLICY

 

Kwikparts Warranty Policy

Imported automotive product sold by Kwikparts will be warranted as stated in the Kwikparts Limited Warranty.

 

Kwikparts Limited Warranty

The limited warranty applies to all imported products sold by Kwikparts. Under the limitations of that warranty, all automotive products / parts sold by Kwikparts have a warranty against manufacturing defects for the period specified. (Please see warranty period below).  

 

Limitation of Warranty

Your exclusive remedy for any defective Product is limited to the replacement of the defective Product.

Kwikparts shall have reasonable time after determining that a defective product exists for replacement.

 

What is warrantable:

Any Kwikparts product sold to and correctly/properly installed by Dealer/ distributor and is determined after proper inspection and testing to have manufacturing defects.

Any Kwikparts product invoiced to Dealer/ distributor customer that falls within the warranty period specified.

 

What voids the warranty:

Ø      Warranty claims that exceeds the allowable 15 days to show intention to claim.

Ø      Dealer/ distributor invoice (to customer) date exceeds warranty period specified.

Ø      Any modifications or upgrades that may affect the performance or life span of the product.

Note: All or any other reason that voids the customer warranty to Dealer/ distributor. (warranty claims from customer to Dealer/ distributor stores)

Example:

Warranty on Kwikparts brake pads is null and void when the recommended repair for a brake service includes rotor refacing and customer only approves the replacements of the pads alone. (this voids the warranty of the customer from Dealer/ distributor from then on so ergo: Dealer/ distributor have no legal claim to Kwikparts)

 

Limitation of Damages

Kwikparts entire liability for any defective Product shall in no event exceed the purchase price for the defective product.

Kwikparts has no liability for general, consequential, incidental or special damages. These include loss of profits and the cost of the installation or removal of any products and the installation of replacement products.

 

Kwikparts will have no liability for any Product returned if Kwikparts determines that:

Ø      The product was stolen.

Ø      The asserted defect:

A.      is not present,

B.     is attributable to misuse, improper installation, alteration, accident or mishandling.

*except torque wrench, socket bits, Punches & Chisels, Knives, Hammers, Tape Measure, Blades of Hacksaw, Tool Storage which have no warranty.

Warranty Claim Procedure

Step 1             Dealer/ distributor Store submits (fax or through AE) warranty claims request to Kwikparts Warranty Department (KPWD) within 15days from Customer Concerns Report. To be logged by the KP Warranty Dept for scheduling and processing, and to determine if for Credit Memo or for the (same) part replacement. Kp Warranty dept will inform AE/ store on the schedule of pick-up.

 

Step 2             Dealer/ distributor stores prepares the defective part/s together with the attachments (warranty card for ACDelco MF Battery, Sales Invoice) for pick-up by KPWD.

 

Step 3             KPWD upon receipt of the defective part/s, will checks completeness (KPWD will inform Dealer/ distributor Store for any missing attachment) of documents to determine if the product is warrantable in paper.

 

Step 4             KP warranty dept. then evaluate the product to determine if the failure is from manufacturing or otherwise. If defect is due to anything other than manufacturing the warranty is void.

 

Step 5             If warranty is void, KPWD will notifying claiming store within 7days of receipt of the reason/s why warranty is void.

 

Step 6             If warrantable, KPWD will notifying claiming store within 7days of receipt of the results of evaluation done.  Kwikparts will honor warranty by (depending on the warranty log) issuance of credit memo to the amount of the part/s to the account or send the replacement part to the claiming Dealer/ distributor Store.
